Its most prominent manifestation is known as the parable of the butterfly causing a thunderstorm along the pioneering research by the climate scientist Edward Lorenz. The present work studies a translation of these sensible systems into audiovisual immersive listening experiences. Due to the constraints of 2D screens, the auditory reception may become at least as present as the visual reception within a 3D sound immersion. The translation is planned to occur as an audiovisual live performance by interacting in real time with the model parameters of different selected “scientific (sub-)realities” rather than with the parameters of a sound synthesis model. This kind of interaction breaks the traditional way of performing with sonic live electronics. Sound is controlled by visuals that encode the hidden symmetries of chaos.
