[Текст доступен только на английском языке] How can the red bricks of an industrial city in northern France be made to resonate beneath the Roman sky? RBXRMX: Au Fil des Briques is a 30-minute live audiovisual performance that builds a digital and evocative bridge between the working-class history of Roubaix once the "world textile capital" and the international contemporary arts scene.
This work is conceived as a form of real-time "luminous archaeology." On stage, archival images of Roubaix portraits of female workers, the mechanical movements of looms, the brick silhouettes of the former Motte-Bossut mill (nicknamed "the monster mill") are not merely projected; they are manipulated, distorted, and remixed live by the VJ. The goal is to clothe the space in a "digital skin" to tell the overlooked stories of the people who shaped this working-class city. The soundtrack, performed entirely live, creates a dialogue between textured electronic music blending industrial ambient, minimal techno, and deep synth soundscapes and a narrative woven from period testimonies, factory machine noises, and the heavy rhythm of industrial history.
