[Текст доступен только на английском языке] AFTER THE IMAGE is a 10-minute live immersive audiovisual performance about what remains after a place, an image or a memory has been violently interrupted.
The work begins with fragments of Ukrainian architecture, landscapes, documentary images and human traces. Gradually, these recognisable images become unstable: they stretch, multiply, fragment and dissolve into an abstract digital environment.
Performed live, the piece combines documentary material, generative visuals, real-time image manipulation and electronic sound. Architecture becomes data, data becomes movement, and fragments of memory become a constantly changing spatial environment.
Designed specifically for an immersive mapping space, AFTER THE IMAGE treats walls and floor as one continuous image. The audience is not watching a linear story but experiencing the transformation of a place from physical reality into memory.
In the final part, fragmented images slowly form a new spatial structure. It is not a reconstruction of what was lost, but an unfinished image of what could come after.
When the physical image of a place disappears, can it be reconstructed through memory, data and imagination?
