[Text available only in English] “Synthesis” is Levi's new album, a solo project by Damiano Simoncini.
Born of personal, human and planetary tension, these passages use electronics to make a subjective and emotional summary of the artist's self within his context.
A "synthesis" in fact, which touches different genres and styles, an audible and sensorial "meltin pot", where the artist's analogical and electrical experience dissolves in the various digital attempts that the disc presents in his movements. Heavy and evocative electronics are intertwined with hypnagogic moments and experiments to rethink a possible future.
A sort of “radio playlist” of a ghost station adrift in the deepest cosmos: six compositions, less than half an hour to concentrate the subjective perception of the electronic objects.
Various influences run through the album, from the filmic visions of Lynch, Bergman and Lang to the sound experiments of Oneothrix Point Never and Steve Auschildt, passing through the orchestral suggestions of Ennio Morricone. A journey inside and outside of us, looking for solutions, answers. Or at least trying. Always.
