About

[Text available only in English] The Lisbon Song Remixed is a very cool AV live remix of the first portuguese movie (1933), in a project that combines live one visual artist and two electronic/acoustic musicians.

The result is a film-concert, in which colors and contrast collide with special vector animation. Original illustrations from Almada Negreiros, one of the top early 20th Century portuguese designers have also been recycled and inserted as visual elements througout the movie.

All music is played live, supported only by a pre-recorded rhythm basis embeded in the basic b/w movie pre-edited DVD. 4 original tracks have been left untouched, as they express the core of the film, namely the passion for "fado" music. The soundtrack is a mixmash of various styles, from ambient to dance and from trendy to experimental.
