The project is optimized for the sound dome of Hungarian House of Music, the technical details of which can be found in the document at the link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Zi54wUSm-xEHd374uoS9Zkl0iGee2fm4?usp=share_link
We can technically adapt it to other circumstances or location based on consultation.
Emese's grandparents' house became the backdrop for the story, thanks to thousands of images and some AI and 3D post-production work. In contrast, the characters were created using 2D collage techniques, creating a dual flat-space effect with the background. This gave the characters their own 'crumpled', unfinished look, which further enhanced the assemblage style of the installation. The 2D collage animations were inserted into the 3D space, where they interacted with their surroundings and the 3D animated creatures. After rendering the animations into equirectangular footage we used After Effects to bend the equirectangular images, the standard format of VR and 360° cameras, onto the surface of the Sound Dome, and then we animated, distorted, coloured and inserted the scenes according to the narrative. The process required a high degree of precision, as the huge size of the dome would have made any errors more visible.
