[Text available only in English] VARIABLE INTERVAL REINFORCEMENT is an A / V performance using found footage, movies and ephemeral fragments of educational and scientific films from the 30s to 70s. Social experiments, lab tests and anthropological documentaries woven together by an alienating live editing that tells the story of the "guinea pigs” for excellence, the animal and the child, two mysterious creatures trapped under the magnifying glass of a cold and politely cruel eye. Society becomes a huge workshop where alien and alienated minds try to distill the purity of a secret; the lines of the human "behavior". So next to monstrous cages / dispenser that spit grain to pigeons and biscuits to frightened children, next to the electrified grids which impart punitive shocks on command, there is also the electric chair, symbolic instrument of the greatest collective experiment of coercion, on the basis of the inevitable assumption that it is necessary to punish one to educate hundreds.
